I enjoyed hearing information pertaining to the questions in regard to each persons school district especially about school reform. I think it is helpful to hear about what is happening in other districts and how they are implementing reform. I got some really good ideas on funding from the group including the funding that included parent involvement. It was beneficial to hear about the implementation challenges that were discussed and related to the content, for example, in the article, Sustaining Your Reform: Five Lessons From Research. Many of the districts represented seem to have similar concerns. There was a lot of discussion from the teacher perspective and I think it is good to be reminded that school reform takes buy in from all stakeholders in order to work. K Keck/ ISTE

I would like to know how some people were so clear and distinct and others were much harder to hear? Does this depend on the type of mic used? I thought the technology performed well and there were just a few problems that were worked out toward the end. I was glad to have a technical advisor there. I am partial to Elluminate as it seems much easier to me, but I think the chat was very effective in sharing ideas and information and beginning a dialogue about school reform. K.Keck/ ISTE

I thought the whole group chat went very well and was a nice change from the usual weekly posting on the Discussion Board; it made it more personal. I was disappointed that we could not hear everyone, some not at all and some intermittently; I thought we had ironed out all these issues during the pre-chat test run. However, we know that there will be glitches with technology, and everyone handled it patiently and efficiently, and we were able to address all of the questions and to complete our task. One thing worth reminding everyone in the future as we use this tool is that if you virtually "raise your hand," you have to remember to virtually lower it. It doesn't go down just because the instructor calls on you and you answer. This happened several times to myself and others. PGeorge/ISTE
